Liberal Democrat Public Health spokesman Jamie Stone MSP says the Aberdeen Dental School does not help the lack of NHS dental services in the Highlands enough.

Jamie Stone said:

"For far too long I have had to highlight the lack of NHS dental services, particularly in the Highlands. This is absolutely connected to the training of dentists - and for this reason the fact that the Aberdeen Dental School will not accept undergraduates is bad news.

"By not training as many dentists as we can and failing to treat patients as soon as possible we are simply putting off the evil day when the dental problems are worse still. This will cause more patient distress and require considerably more expensive treatment."
