Commenting as Strathclyde Police launch their organised crime strategy, Liberal Democrat Justice spokesperson and Glasgow MSP Robert Brown said:

"Serious organised crime is a blight on Scotland's communities and peoples' lives.

"The message must be clear that would-be Don Corleones will not be tolerated in Scotland.

"Key to achieving this is a joined-up and coordinated approach between our local police boards and national units such as the National Fraud Office."
