Jamie StoneCommenting on John Swinney’s speech at the Convention of the Highlands and Islands today, Liberal Democrat MSP for Caithness, Sutherland and Easter Ross Jamie Stone said:

“John Swinney’s credibility is much reduced North of the Highland Line. It is he who has undermined the Highland economy by slashing the budget of Highlands and Islands Enterprise.

“Thus far, the Scottish Government’s record does not seem to help achieve the goal of untapping the vast renewable energy resource of the Pentland Firth.”
