Reacting to scaremongering rumours about the Edinburgh Trams project from the SNP MSP Shirley-Ann Somerville, Alison McInnes, Liberal Democrat Transport Spokesperson said:

“We’ve had a catalogue of unsubstantiated complaints from Shirley-Anne Somerville. She seems determined to undermine this project. This needs to stop.

“All we get from the SNP are rumours and scaremongering from the back benchers and a deafening silence from the Transport Minister.

“Shirley-Anne Somerville seems to be the mouthpiece for a Minister who is failing to safeguard taxpayers’ money.”
