The 2009/10 football season kicked off for West of Scotland Rugby Football Club’s junior section on Sunday with a visit from Jo Swinson MP.

More than 100 young people signed up to join the club for the coming season at the registration day on Sunday.

Last season, the juniors won 24 of their 25 fixtures, and won both of the tournaments in which they competed.

Commenting, Jo Swinson said:

“West is a great club and it was a pleasure to see them starting off the season with so many young people signing up. The boys had a brilliant season last year, and I’m sure they’ll excel again this season.”
