Commenting on the news that cases of C. Difficile have dropped to a record low across Scotland, Liberal Democrat Health spokesperson Ross Finnie MSP said:

“The overall reduction in cases of C. Difficile across Scotland is very welcome. As the Health Secretary accepts, however, a Public Inquiry into what went wrong in the first place is still needed.

“Until we have an inquiry there is no way of knowing if we are taking the right steps to prevent this from happening in the future.”
