Commenting on the launch of the Scottish Conservative party conference in Perth today (Thursday), Liberal Democrat Chief Whip Mike Rumbles said:

"David Mundell says that he is confident that after 2010 he will not be the only Conservative Scottish MP.

"I entirely agree with him. Considering the fact that Annabel Goldie says voting Conservative is 'a big ask', he may very well lose his seat and once again we would have a Tory free Scotland in 2010.

"Here's hoping Mr Mundell's wish comes true."
