Thorough examination of minimum alcohol plans needed - Brown

Commenting on figures that claim a 68% increase in profit for the alcohol industry under the Scottish Government's plans to introduce a minimum alcohol price, Liberal Democrat Justice spokesperson Robert Brown MSP said:

"Many aspects of the Scottish Government's minimum pricing policy are hugely controversial.

"This underlines the need for a thorough examination of the plans by the Scottish Parliament. This is something the SNP have so far been reluctant to guarantee."
