Commenting on Skills Development Scotland’s announcement that it is seeking up to 160 voluntary redundancies, Tavish Scott, leader of the Liberal Democrats in Scotland said:

“The Government’s centralised skills quango is making 160 people redundant in the teeth of a recession.

“It’s rich that three days after a Government jobs summit, SDS, tasked with driving forward the PACE initiative, is itself shedding jobs.”
