Commenting on the results of a report into the new grading system for care services, Liberal Democrat Health spokesperson Ross Finnie MSP said:

“This largely positive assessment of care services for young people is encouraging.

“Given the ageing population of Scotland, I am, however, concerned that care services for older people aren’t doing as well. It’s incumbent on the Scottish Government and on local authorities to make sure that services in place for old and young in our society are up to scratch. Ministers and councillors need to act on these findings.”
