Commenting on the BMA Scotland warning that with less than 250 days before the introduction of the European Working Time Directive, Scotland’s Health Boards are not ready, Liberal Democrat Health spokesperson Ross Finnie MSP said:

“It’s alarming that with less than 250 days to go, the BMA has found it necessary to remind health boards, yet again, of their lack of preparedness for the introduction of the Working Time Directive.

“This is a very worrying state of affairs. If it is not properly addressed, this could compromise patient care.”
