Responding to media reports that NHS Highland is concerned that it may have to make ‘scary cuts’ due to the Scottish Government’s funding settlement, Liberal Democrat Health spokesperson Ross Finnie said:

“Reports that NHS Highland is considering “scary cuts” to services due to the Scottish Government’s funding settlement are extremely concerning.

“The SNP Government’s claims that Health Boards are managing inflation and generating efficiency savings are totally disproved by these comments from NHS Highland.

“The SNP Government has to face up to the reality that Health Boards are struggling to deliver services and need concrete assistance, not idle rhetoric.”
