Commenting on a Transport Scotland report published today, Scottish Liberal Democrat Transport spokesperson Alison McInnes said:

"Now that the Government have managed to identify the roads most at risk from flooding and landslides they must put in place contingency plans for use whenever such incidents occur.

"Changes in our climate mean that these sort of problems will be a regular feature of Scotland's weather pattern.

"Over the decades, public services in Scotland have become expert at keeping the country moving in the face of snow and blizzards. We must now apply that expertise to the growing number of floods and landslides which we will have to regularly contend with."
