SNP fail Budget challenge

Commenting on the publication of the Scottish Government’s draft budget for 2009-10, Tavish Scott, leader of the Liberal Democrats in Scotland said:

“I’m deeply disappointed that the Government has failed to respond to the challenge I set to help hard pressed families in these difficult economic times.

“With our proposals for a 2 pence income tax cut in Scotland, the Liberal Democrats are clearly on the side of Scottish families. Other parties must explain why they are not.”
