Commenting on the WWF Scotland manifesto comparison, Leader of the Scottish Liberal Democrats and Green Politician of the Year, Nicol Stephen said:

"For the second time one of Scotland’s top environmental organisations has concluded our manifesto is the greenest of the main political parties. Friends of the Earth said we have the greenest mainstream manifesto. Now WWF Scotland has confirmed that the Scottish Liberal Democrat plans have the smallest ecological footprint of the main parties.

"We are making the environment a priority in this campaign.

“Scottish Liberal Democrats want to see 100% of our electricity coming from clean green renewable sources, as well as an ambitious 70% recycling target, massive investment in public transport and tough climate change targets.”
