90 Day countdown to May 2017 Council Elections: Bring your team!
ASLDC's Kickstart 2 election planning and campaigning event will be held Friday 3rd and Saturday 4th February in Perth.
Registration will open from 4.00pm on Friday 3rd Feb with one to one advice on your campaign plan and an Expert Lounge to answer questions on Connect and Pageplus.
Ed Stephenson from ALDC will be on hand on both days to set delegates up with ALDC MyCouncillor websites, you just need to tell him if it is an individual or a group site.
Friday 6pm there will a training module on Campaigning in large council Groups and areas.
Saturday will be a day packed with training sessions to fully prepare candidates, agents and campaigners for the final 90 days of the 2017 Local Council Election Campaign.
The full day training starts on Saturday 4th Feb 9.30 am
10am - a choice of three training modules:
- Email campaigning // Recruiting volunteers // Using casework for campaigning
A plenary session on key messages and strategy will be followed by Leader of the Scottish Liberal Democrats, Willie Rennie MSP, delivering his assessment of the national and local political landscape, followed by a Q&A before breaking for lunch
Afternoon Session 1 Choose from:
- Facebook Advertising // 90 days to go – Crossing your winning line // Get out the vote – Your two polling days
Afternoon Session 2 Choose from:
- Connect for polling day // Advanced literature // Winning the postal vote
The day will end at 4pm
Bring your team and allocate key campaigners across the training sessions

£15 for students and those who are unemployed.
Lunch on Saturday is included in the registration fee.
