Candidate for the Western Isles
Kenneth MacLeod was born and brought up in a crofting township in Wester Ross.
He is married with three adult children.
A solicitor by profession he is a member of the Crofting Law Group of the Law Society and has represented crofters in a number of high profile Land Court cases in the Western Isles.
When the Pairc crofters started their bid to buy from their landlord he was initially consulted and indeed drafted their constitution and attended the initial meetings.
A keen sportsman he is a 3rd dan black belt in judo and a senior examiner of the British Judo Association.
He is on his second term as a Lib Dem councillor on The Highland Council.
He is a committed Christian and is a member of the Free North congregation in Inverness.
