Scottish Liberal Democrat education spokesperson Tavish Scott MSP has today demanded that Education Secretary John Swinney answer the detailed questions put to him over committee witnesses appearing before the Scottish Parliament's Education Committee.
A letter to the Education Secretary from the committee today lays out an extensive list of issues that it requests he address.
Mr Scott said:
"When reports first emerged suggesting that the Education Secretary had nobbled witnesses set to appear before the committee, he was given a chance to offer his side of the story.
"Unfortunately his curt response was not good enough.
"The minister now has a further opportunity to answer detailed questions. Parliament will expect him to do exactly that.”
