Jardine warns of Brexit threat to Scottish festivals

Responding to the Sunday Herald revelations about the Edinburgh Festival and Celtic Connections, Edinburgh West MP, Scottish spokesperson and party culture spokesperson in the House of Commons Christine Jardine said:

“This is another example of the catastrophic impact Brexit will have. Events such as these bring hundreds of thousands of tourists and millions of pounds into the Scottish economy.

"I’ve heard similar warnings from other sections of the creative industries and will be seeking a meeting with heads of the Edinburgh Festival and Celtic Connections as well as tabling questions in the Commons."
