Hannah Bettsworth

Hannah Bettsworth is currently studying Spanish and Politics at the University of Edinburgh, and will graduate in 2016.

She spent the last year studying abroad at the Universidad de Salamanca, and is semi-fluent in Spanish.

She was born in Gloucester in 1994, and moved to Aberdeen at the age of 5, where she attended Hanover Street Primary School, and then Robert Gordon’s College on a full academic scholarship. 

She joined the Liberal Democrats in August 2011, and since then has held a variety of internal party positions, most recently co-chair of Liberal Youth Scotland with Euan Davidson.

Outside of politics, Hannah is Secretary of Edinburgh University First Aid Society, and has worked with peer education charities in both Aberdeen and Edinburgh, working on drugs and alcohol issues.

She also enjoys foreign affairs and has attended a variety of Model United Nations conferences both at school and university level.
