Scottish Liberal Democrat leader Willie Rennie has offered all of those celebrating the end of Ramadan best wishes for Eid-al-Fitr.
Mr Rennie said:
“We know that Eid al Fitr is a time for families to join and celebrate together and I would like to wish Muslims across Scotland breaking their fast today all the best for this holiday.
“This is a festival built on principles of friendship and community. We know that these are values important to Scots of all religions and of none.
“Best wishes and Eid Mubarak to all those celebrating.”
