Candidate for Charity Pierce
My name is Charity Pierce. I am in my final year studying Geography at the University of Edinburgh. I am originally from North London but have loved every minute of living in the beautiful country of Scotland over the last four years.
I joined the Liberal Democrats in May 2015 after the general election. In his resignation speech Nick Clegg stated: "This is a very dark hour for our party but we cannot and will not allow decent liberal values to be extinguished overnight". This persuaded me to join to help create a United Kingdom where people are able to live the life they choose. Liberalism is so important and we must fight for it. This is why I am standing as a candidate for Cunninghame North.
I am particularly interested in social care and mental health. These are crucial issues which, if elected, would be a main priority for me.
